Fubu is a sixteen-year-old lowland gorilla, brought to the Lesio-Louna reserve in Congo-Brazzaville, from the London zoo, along with his companion, another gorilla – Kangu. In this reserve gorillas such as Fubu and Kangu, are being adapted to live in the wild. They are kept in semi-freedom conditions, on large river islands, so the habitat seems natural, but as it is surrounded by the water, they are unable to move from that piece of land. They also need to be fed by reserve workers, because they are not accustomed to nor able to collect enough food for themselves.
