Kuouyou is a nineteen-year-old lowland gorilla brought to the Lesio-Louna reserve in Kongo Brazzaville from the London zoo. This reserve has a program to adapt gorillas such as Kouyou to life in the wild. They are kept in semi-freedom conditions on big river islands, where they can be observed from the boats, during a feeding time.
