Rufous Motmot
This colorful bird, called the Rufous Motmot (Baryphthengus martii), lives in the dense lowland tropical forests of southern Central America and the western Amazon basin. It eats small vertebrates, insects, and fruits. It waits on a branch and, after catching its prey, returns to its perch where it stuns the prey by hitting it against the branch and then swallows it.
