Warning signal
The name of this cute and small frog, which grows up to 2 cm, is the Granular poison frog. This name refers to two important facts about its skin. First, its skin has a granular texture, and second, it is covered in poison. The second fact is highlighted by its bright red color, which stands out against the surrounding green and serves as a clear warning signal. It tells potential predators: "Don't eat me, or you'll regret it!"
