Eyelash Viper
The Eyelash Viper (Bothriechis schlegelii) comes in various color variations, ranging from bright yellow to green and ending in brown. These color patterns help it to camouflage among the colorful vegetation, where it patiently waits for an unsuspecting prey to come within striking distance. Such prey could be, for example, a careless hummingbird, which flies too close to the beautiful Heliconia flower.
