Blue-gray tanager
The blue-gray tanager (Thraupis episcopus) is a common bird found in Central America and the northern part of South America. Due to its commonness and relatively modest coloring compared to most birds in this region, it attracts little interest among birdwatchers visiting this area. However, it charmed me with its delicate, steel-blue plumage, which beautifully complemented the distant misty hills surrounding San Gerardo de Dota in Costa Rica.
