Calming the Night's Feelings
Just before the darkness fully set in, the leopardess gracefully climbed onto a dried branch, taking a moment to survey the surroundings from above. These were her final moments of peace before embarking on a night of intense hunting, where she would track, sneak, and perhaps chase after swift antelopes. Her spotted fur glimmered with golden hues, standing out against the cool colors of the late evening sky over Chitabe in Botswana. In the quiet that surrounded us, we watched this stunning African scene unfold before heading back to our camp for the night.
