The wingspan of the Dalmatian pelican can reach up to 350 cm and the length of the body reaches 180 cm. With these parameters and body weight up to 15 kg, it is one of the largest flying birds. The pelican, bathed in the golden light of the morning sun from behind, was captured against the background of the mountains surrounding Lake Kerkini in Greece.
