Looking for food
The leopard leads a solitary lifestyle, claiming territory ranging from a few to several dozen square kilometers. The female I had the pleasure of photographing and observing in the Chitabe area of Botswana covered many kilometers of her territory late in the afternoon, searching for suitable prey for herself and her offspring, whom she had left in dense bushes for the time being. Unfortunately, despite several hunting attempts, the night found her with an empty stomach.
