Sprinter...
The Southern Ground Hornbill (Bucorvus leadbeateri) is a large bird with a big beak, predominantly inhabiting grassy areas which are close to wooded regions in southern Africa. It mainly feeds on arthropods but also doesn't reject small vertebrates, which it hunts among the tall grass of the savannah. I captured this "sprinter" in the Savuti concession in Botswana, as it fled with a substantial frog, evading its companions who were eager to snatch the plump prey away.
