Forest giant
Encounter with a massive brown bear is always a risky situation that one should strive to avoid. A hungry, powerful, and startled bear may attack, and our chances in such a scenario are small. However, there is a place where, with the right precautions, one can stroll among bears without attracting much attention. That place is the Brooks Falls area, where dozens, if not hundreds, of bears gather to hunt for salmon. The abundance of this fish keeps the bears full and busy accumulating fat for the winter, which, in turn, means that people are not on the menu for the bears in that area ;)
