Young brown bears aren't capable of hunting down swift and agile salmon on their own. Their mother is a different kind of story- she's an absolute expert at it. She can catch a dozen of salmons in just a few hours, but she isn't too keen on sharing her tasty catch with her offspring. They have to wait patiently and hope that their mother will leave them some scraps to gnaw on. Brooks Falls, Katmai National Park, Alaska, USA
