Prehensile feet
Gorilla feet, unlike human feet, have an opposable big toe. Such positioning of the toe in the foot significantly facilitates gorillas in their daily activities. Combined with strong muscles and flexible joints, this allows them to move efficiently and skillfully even on branches with a large diameter. This adaptation enables gorillas to explore and utilize different levels of the forest environment, from ground levels to tree canopies. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Uganda
