Deadvlei
It may seem that deserts are monotonous landscapes offering nothing interesting to admire. I thought so too, until I visited my first desert. Deserts are not flat and boring plains of sand. They are not mono-colored, and they are not lifeless. These are beautiful wavy areas, rich in interesting rock formations formed by the wind, shimmering with many colors. There you can also spot interesting ecosystems, if only one knows how and what to look for :)
