Crossing
The wildebeest can smell the damp earth and hear the sounds of the storm even from a distance of several dozen kilometers. These signals lead great herds of wildebeest to searching better pastures. They can travel up to 3,000 km a year during the Great Migration, crossing the Mara River twice.
