Big thirst
Adult elephants can drink up to 200 liters of water a day. To be able to drink, it needs its trunk, which can hold about 10 liters of water at a time. Sometimes there are elephants with a damaged trunk, e.g. injured by a predator or broken, so they cannot drink water. Such elephants are not condemned to death by thirst, as they are then watered by other members of the herd.
