The sidewinding adder
The sidewinding adder, the smallest African viper, chose a small desert patch of the west coast of Africa as its territory. It is perfectly adapted to this environment and despite its masking coloration, it prefers to wait for its victim buried in the sand, thanks to which it is almost completely invisible. In the photo, it is burying itself, which takes her a dozen seconds.
