The waterfall of the gods - Godafoss - this name accurately reflects the power and charm of this amazing waterfall. It is considered one of the most beautiful and it is not easy to get such a reputation when it competes with almost a thousand other waterfalls in Iceland. There is a legend that in around 1000 a pagan priest threw statues of pagan gods into this waterfall, which was to symbolize Iceland's conversion to Christianity and gave the name to the waterfall itself.
