Western Lowland Gorilla
Gorillas are the largest and highly intelligent apes. Keeping them in captivity is a great pain for these animals, but thanks to the Aspinall Foundation, more and more gorillas are regaining their freedom. The one pictured is a lowland gorilla, took from the zoo and protected by the foundation, who is getting used to a new life in semi-freedom, on a river island in the Lesio-Louna Reserve in Congo.
